I had such a wonderful experience at Caraluzzi’s in Danbury today! Jeremiah, the manager, was incredibly friendly and welcoming. He immediately greeted me with a smile and checked in with me several times throughout my shopping trip to see if I needed any help. I originally came in with a basket but quickly realized I needed a cart. Jeremiah was so thoughtful and immediately got one for me. He also helped me find several items, including the pistachios I couldn’t find, and even helped me get a heavy box of Saratoga water down from the shelf. When I was finished shopping, Jeremiah rang everything up for me, and because everything had gotten so heavy, he made sure I had help getting my cart out to my car. He asked David, a sales associate, to assist me. David was also extremely friendly, polite, and helpful. I truly appreciated how attentive and helpful everyone was. It’s not every day that you receive this level of genuine customer service, and it really stood out to me. I left feeling very grateful and appreciated. I really like this grocery store. I arrived in Danbury, my hometown fortunately, with a collapsed lung approximately a year ago. I was a traveling stones dealer for twenty years working shows country/worldwide and visiting stones shops all over the country between shows. Two months in the hospital, another three in a nursing home, and COPD pretty much put an end to all of that. I have been staying overnight in my RV at a nearby highway rest stop while waiting for a Senior housing situation. I go to the market several days a week for their hot food offerings. The quality is outstanding and they dish the food out by weight to my request. I don’t know how I would have survived without them. There was a little problem with my parking my truck and trailer on the far side of the building, at their request. However, we got that straightened out, thank God, and now have a harmonious relationship. Everyone is very nice to me and I really appreciate both the service and the quality of the food. I don’t know what I would do without them. Thank you guys, from a member of another old time area family.

Caraluzzi’s is a fully stocked, spotless store with friendly staff! The pricing is reasonable with good sales! Great produce!

Nice, high end market. Amazing selection. Many different stations - deli, pizza, rotating hot foods, butcher, great bakery area. Lots of prepared foods to select from. With it being a high end market, comes the cost, so it's a bit pricier than other markets. I don't do my typical, day-to-day shopping here, instead it's for specialized items (good quality fresh meats)... things like that... (For the day to day stuff, I go to Shop Rite or Trader Joes).

SO happy Caraluzzi's is finally in Danbury! This store is absolutely gorgeous. Great prices, great food. They frequently even have buy one get one free items. The employees are extremely nice and willing to help! It's such a nice change from stop and shop down the road where their employees will literally tell you they hate their job. The deli food is amazing.. hot food, pizza, sandwiches, cold cuts, cold salads you name it.. the bakery is beautiful with cakes that are designed by THEM!! The seafood is always fresh and fully stocked.. The managers are willing to speak to you without rushing..it's really a great place to shop.
